How Gaming Broke my iPad

The games I like to play at the moment are Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on the Xbox, Minecraft on the PC, and Temple Run on the iPod and the iPad.

The reason I like Call of Duty is that it has different modes for example: campaign, online, split screen and survival mode though I am going to talk to you about survival. The reason I like survival is that it increasingly gets harder and harder as the rounds go on. The aim of the game is to survive for as long as possible. To help you survive you can buy better guns and other weapons from the store if you have sufficient funds. You receive money from every enemy you kill. Also to help you even further you can call on air strikes, delta squads and riots shield squads from air.

This is similar to Temple Run on the iPad. The aim of the game is that you have stolen an ancient golden idol from a temple and you are trying to escape. There are monkeys that are chasing you back to land where you will be safe but this is impossible because the road is just endless. As you run your pace will pick up and the corners and jumps will become more often. Also you can get power-ups to help you get a high score.

The reason I like Minecraft is that you have unlimited resources to build anything you want as you can see from my picture above this person has built a bridge although I have built a village for loads of villagers that I have given birth to on my Minecraft game. Another thing that I do is dig a huge square pit and layer the bottom with TNT then you spawn a load of animals in to the pit and then set the TNT alight!!!!!!!!!!

THESE GAMES ALL HAVE THEIR POSITIVES BUT ALSO HAVE MANY NEGATIVES…

The bad thing about Call of Duty is that it encourages young children who are playing the game to be a soldier when they grow up. And if you’re a soldier you have the possibility that you may die. Also another thing about Call of Duty is that it is a lot more screen than game because it has incredible graphics.

The negatives of Temple Run are that it is really addictive and very stressful. So stressful that it lead me to throwing my iPad at the wall and now it is broken. The reason it is so stressful is that at school my friends all boast about their scores but I’m just terrible at it…

The bad things about Minecraft are that it is £18.00 to buy the full version!!!! And even if you play the free version on the internet you will have to wait for about 10 minutes because otherwise it has loads of lagging which is the worst thing if you’re going onto multiplayer or online.
